Vietnam's potters' village "Bat Trang" is in the suburbs in Hanoi. There are about 2,000 kilns in the village of which a population of 2,000, therefore almost all residents are concerned with pottery. A scene of daily life of the village that carts which stacked the load of bamboo baskets a lot go and back in the passage, and that there are lots of dust coal on the wall to dry for the purpose of making fuel for the old fashioned kiln, makes visitors an illusion of being a century ago. Photographs are taken for the cover story of "winds", JAL's inflight magazine, May 2000 issue. |
