Ludwig WITTGENSTEIN (1889-1951) was one of philosophers representing the 20th century, and the Stonborough's House was designed by the philosopher like an elaborating note of philosophical research. Although his philosophy is roughly divided into the first half of "Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus " and the second half of "philosophical Investigations " which has criticized elements of the Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus, the architecture was designed during the period to switch to the second half from the first half. The architecture of WITTGENSTEIN is the important work so that we understand his philosophy of language, and also considering general "architecture and language".
